Freguesia de Vila Real

The civil parish (freguesia) of Vila Real was born from the fusion of three older parishes that make up the city with the same name. This restructuring and naming created the need for a new visual identity. This logo introduces the freguesia to a contemporary conceptual space, making use of a simple, direct and distinctive visual language that radically strays from the heraldic symbols that portuguese municipal councils and civil parishes usually display.
